Write a standard operating procedure for: Onboarding a new client account. Who does it: Account coordinator How often: weekly How it's done today, in my words: Get signed contract from sales, create account in CRM, set up shared folder, send welcome email, book kickoff call, add to billing. Format: purpose, scope, roles, tools needed, numbered steps (one action per step, starting with a verb), quality checks and what to do when something goes wrong. Write for someone on their first week: explain where to click and what each system is, and include a short example for any judgment call. Mark any step that's unclear from my notes with [CHECK]. I'm a project manager. Use these placeholders where needed: [Project name], [Team], [Sponsor], [My name]. My readers are busy stakeholders who skim. Lead with the status or the decision needed, then the detail. Flag risks and slips plainly, with an owner and a date, and never soften bad news into vague language. Use short sentences and bullet points, no corporate filler like 'synergy' or 'circle back', and never invent numbers, dates or names I didn't give you.
